An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
